Overrated Concepts:

Sincere:
Take that nice, sincere Mr Hitler,
Most admired by a Mitford sister.
He, indeed, sincere as they come,
Sincerely intent to get things done,
A vegetarian to the very end,
And to his dogs, kindest friend.
A Christian, he, of some renown,
Loathed Catholics, tore Jewry down.
He had such a dream, and so sincere,
But managed to bring God to tears,
A stain upon all humanity,
A question mark on German sanity,
The holocaust their inhuman crime,
And his name damned across all time.

Well-meaning:
Poor Kalashnikov comes to mind,
His rifle really one of a kind.
Let it get dirty, covered in mud,
It still guarantees rivers of blood.
Every terrorist or freedom fighter,
Sees their chances so much brighter,
When AK47s come into the hands,
Of him/her and their vicious bands.
It pours death upon the unexpecting,
Innocent or guilty, it’s unrespecting.
He’d built it to help to make men free
But at his dying saw the ghastly fee,
And his well-meaning act and its toll,
Lay heavy upon him, crushing his soul.

Populist:
And last but not least, Donald Trump,
Forever trawling the sewers sump.
Pretends to hear the people’s lament,
And to the wealthy, heaven sent.
His mission, make America a joke,
And con the weak and vulnerable folk,
Take from the poor, give to the rich,
Everything a deal or a slick sales pitch.
America first, all the others last,
But US credibility sinking fast,
And as to his great, populist base,
Their wishes sink without much trace,
Democracy, the loser every day,
His dementia still holds sway.
